Spring Soccer, the
steps to follow: Attend a tryout session.
Complete the online player registration and pay the $75 fee. (link is in the
left margin) Submit a copy of your birth certificate, if you
have not played with MYSC in the spring (address is listed above)
Print and complete the Boy's & Girl's Club membership form, then submit it with
a check for $20 to the B&G Club. If you do not have a uniform
you can place an order for one at the Gob Shop as soon as team selection has
taken place.

Spring 2010 uniforms
Last spring we selected the new club uniform kit and this will be worn again by all players representing MYSC in the spring season of 2010. Our
uniform supplier is the Gob Shop in Warren and we will be using an Adidas
kit. |
Spring 2010 Tryout information Birth certificates - If you are
playing spring soccer with MYSC for the first time, you must provide us with a
copy of your birth certificate. You can either bring it to a tryout session or
mail it MYSC, PO Box 4576, Middletown RI 02842 If you have
played in a prior spring season, we do not require an additional copy. Be sure to read our NEW tryout policy
brochure. Tryouts will be held at Wyatt Road in Middletown.
and they commenced
on the weekend of October 17th 2009 and will continue through early November for
the Under 8 through Under 19 age brackets. Players must attend one of the
sessions for their specific age group. |

Spring team selection and policy change |
|
The team selection process will be completed in early December
2009. Teams will be formed from Under 8 through Under 19. See our brochure for
important information regarding the timing of your registration.
Most age groups will
feature girls and also boys teams. Once you register in the database prior to Dec 1st
2009 and attend a tryout session you will be considered for a team. If you
register after Dec 1st the registration fee increases and you are not guaranteed
a slot. There will be NO refund of registration fee should a player decide to
withdraw after completing the registration process.
Other costs associated with playing spring soccer are:
Membership of the Boy's & Girl's Club in Newport, we conduct indoor practice
there during the winter , currently that fee is $20. for one
year. If you purchased a uniform for last spring (2009) we will be using the
same kit again in 2010. If you do not have a uniform kit, you may purchase one
from the Gob Shop in Warren. The cost of a new club uniform is about $60, it
consists of two shirts, one pair
of shorts and one pair of socks.
Tournaments are an additional cost and are determined by the
events that a team plans to attend. |

Coaching - obviously a critical portion of the program and we

in on the spring season details. Don't worry about your experience
level, we can help you with that. Fields - Putting lines on fields and stringing new nets on the goals, it must be

Jan-Mar 2010: Indoor practice for all teams. One
session per week on a Saturday or Sunday at the Boy's & Girl's Club in
Newport
Mar-Jun 2010; Outdoor practice starts around the end
of March, weather permitting. Teams will have two outdoor practice
sessions per week at the Wyatt Rd Soccer Complex.
Apr, May and early June: The season starts in early
April and continues through to the early part of June. Games are on
Saturdays or Sundays.
June 2010 - Championship Games: Those teams that are
successful enough will get to play in some championship games.
Memorial Day Weekend 2010 - Teams usually plan on
attending a tournament. there are no regular season games this weekend.
Fathers Day Weekend 2010 - Teams also attend
tournaments.
NOTE: Tournament attendance is recommended by MYSC,
it gives the players an additional and valuable opportunity to play the
game against clubs from other states. The coach of each team will
discuss the options with the parents. |
