Spring 2010 Tryout information

Birth certificates - If you are playing spring soccer with MYSC for the first time, you must provide us with a copy of your birth certificate. You can either bring it to a tryout session or mail it MYSC, PO Box 4576, Middletown RI 02842

If you have played in a prior spring season, we do not require an additional copy.

Be sure to read our NEW tryout policy brochure. Tryouts will be held at Wyatt Road in Middletown. and they commenced on the weekend of October 17th 2009 and will continue through early November for the Under 8 through Under 19 age brackets. Players must attend one of the sessions for their specific age group.

Spring team selection and policy change

The team selection process will be completed in early December 2009. Teams will be formed from Under 8 through Under 19. See our brochure for important information regarding the timing of your registration.

Most age groups will feature girls and also boys teams. Once you register in the database prior to Dec 1st 2009 and attend a tryout session you will be considered for a team. If you register after Dec 1st the registration fee increases and you are not guaranteed a slot. There will be NO refund of registration fee should a player decide to withdraw after completing the registration process.

Other costs associated with playing spring soccer are: Membership of the Boy's & Girl's Club in Newport, we conduct indoor practice there during the winter , currently that fee is $20. for one year. If you purchased a uniform for last spring (2009) we will be using the same kit again in 2010. If you do not have a uniform kit, you may purchase one from the Gob Shop in Warren. The cost of a new club uniform is about $60, it consists of two shirts, one pair of shorts and one pair of socks.

Tournaments are an additional cost and are determined by the events that a team plans to attend.
