MYSC 2012 Fall Recreation Program
The MYSC fall soccer program involves boys and girls in 5 age groups (Under 6, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, and Under 15) in a recreational co-ed soccer program. The goal of this program is for children to have fun, while also learning soccer skills, teamwork, etc. All teams play small sided games; U6 play 3v3, U8 play 4v4 and U10, U12 and U15 play 6v6 with goal keepers. All players play a minimum of 50% of each game.
The program consists of an 8 week season beginning 08 September 2012, with all games played on Saturdays (between approx. 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.) and practice one night during the week at the coaches preference.
* Age Eligibility:
All players will be placed on teams based on age (birth date).
U06 * Players born on or before July 31, 2008 and after July 31, 2006
U08 * Players born on or before July 31, 2006 and after July 31, 2004
U10 * Players born on or before July 31, 2004 and after July 31, 2002
U12 * Players born on or before July 31, 2002 and after July 31, 2000
U15 * Players born on or before July 31, 2000 and after July 31, 1997
* Fees:
2012 Fall Recreation Program- $60.00 per child, $150.00 per family maximum. (Players registering for both recreational and competitive travel programs will receive a $30.00 refund).
* Registration:
Complete registration for age divisions U12 and U15 through online registration links.
Player Easy Register Form: Registration is closed in all age divisions.
Coach Registration Form: Registration is closed in all age divisions.
* Equipment:
- Team T-shirt and pair of socks (provided by MYSC)
- Shin pads (mandatory)
- Soccer cleats (recommended footwear)
* Venue:
All 2012 MYSC fall recreation practices and games will take place at the Wyatt Road soccer complex in Middletown.

* Novice Coaches Clinic
Many of you will be coaching soccer for the first time as your children are introduced to the game. More of you may feel a bit unsure of your coaching skills. Middletown Youth Soccer Club is hosting a NOVICE COACHING CLINIC at the Middletown Public Library on West Main Road. The clinic will be run by Soccer Rhode Island. The presenter will show you how to organize and manage your team as well as demonstrate techniques for teaching soccer. In addition, you will receive an instructional DVD as a coaching resource. The session is both indoors and outdoors. Be prepared to play some very light soccer. Group demonstrations will take place so please bring your child with you, age 6-10.
