Fall Soccer is on the way

Middletown Youth Soccer Club, RI is proud to announce yet another season of Fall Recreational Soccer for players in Middletown RI and neighboring areas. For Fall 2009 our season will start September 12th and will run for 8 weeks through October 31st 2009.

On offer are two separate programs for fall soccer, the principal program is the fall recreational season held at the Wyatt Rd Soccer Fields on Saturday's during the month's of September & October. The cost to play is $50 per player. Practice is held once a week and there are 8 games in the season. Every player is provided with a game day t-shirt and a pair of socks. Players provide their own shorts and cleats. All recreational teams are coed.

Back by popular demand: the U14 recreational division has been expanded to Under 15.

The second program is a developmental travel program for Boy's teams and Girl's teams in the Under 12 & Under 14 age groups only. These games take place on Sunday's during September & October. The cost to play is $50 per player. This program also has 8 games, half of those will be played in Middletown while the other half will involve travel to another city/town in Rhode Island. The developmental teams usually practice twice a week. There are no tryouts for the fall travel teams; simply complete the online registration process. Every player is provided with a game day t-shirt and a pair of socks. Players provide their own shorts and cleats. See the bottom of this page for more info.

Some players will opt to play in both leagues, if so, there is a discount of $25 off the Developmental program cost per player. Therefore the net cost is $75 to play in both programs. However, the online system cannot handle this type of discount, therefore we will send you a check for $25 after you pay for both programs. Simply send an email to our Treasurer, Shannon Lewis, her address is Shannon.Lewis@cox.net and once she confirms receipt of your payment for both programs, a check for $25 will be sent to you in the mail.

The Fall Recreational Season Director is Chris Bacon, his email address is Bacon61@aol.com

Fall Developmental Soccer...........more info
During the months of September and October a limited number teams throughout the State of Rhode Island take part in travel soccer as a developmental season in advance of the Spring 2010 Competitive Season. Middletown Youth Soccer Club is an active part of this developmental phase and we usually field teams in the Boy's and Girl's Under 12 and Under 14 divisions only. There are NO tryout's for this developmental season and sign-up is a separate process to registering for the Recreational League.

Participating in the developmental season can give a player a taste of the spring season. Tryout's for the 2010 spring season will be held in October & November 2009, please note that participation in the Fall Developmental season does NOT guarantee a position in the Spring 2010 competitive season. If you have any questions concerning the spring season, please address your questions to John Byrne
